Do you want to teach English in Asia? Are you planning on teaching mostly children?

Not sure who you will teach?

Start thinking about it, so you can get prepared.

I’d say that in East Asia: China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan that at least 60% or more of the jobs there are for teaching mostly children aged 6–13 years old.

Now you can teach adults if you want and most any other course might help you with that as most TEFL/CELTA/TESOL courses focus more on adults.

But what if you teach mostly kids?

Then that is a different ball game, so you need to get ready as they are not as easy to manage as adults.

Anyways…

I am going to tell you about a multi-media course that’s interactive and focused more on teaching English to children in Asia.

This is TEKA. ESLinsider’s practical and visually engaging course that will make you more confident in teaching English to children.

You can learn how to teach English online

These courses use instructional how-to videos shot right in the classrooms of East Asia.

These are real classes (not pretend) where you can see what it is really like to teach English.

They are super practical too.

Here is what one person said about the Advanced course.

“Ian’s course is practical and based on actual experience in the classroom, not just dry theory. The videos were extremely helpful in the process and I still refer to them every now and then when I need ideas for class.” — George P.

So you will mostly learn by observation. Here is an example video:

In my experience is the easiest way to learn how to teach English and research proves that.

Learn by watching other teachers.

You can read about it too and that can help as well. This course includes many follow up questions and interactive materials.
